Florida Institute for Political Leadership – an initiative by the Florida Chamber of Commerce Broward County, FL – The Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Florida Institute for Political Leadership (FIPL), an initiative by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a virtual Campaign School & Community Leadership Training June 3 – 4, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET each day.
This no-cost and nonpartisan 2-day program is open to everyone and recommended for elected officials, current or future candidates, campaign workers, and anyone interested in serving in an appointed position. As we aim to secure Florida’s Future and move Florida’s economy from 17th largest in the world to 10th largest by 2030, it is necessary to ensure candidates running for office understand the issues facing Florida and our economic future. All campaign training schools will be conducted online. PEMBROKE PINES, Fla., February 16, 2026— Kaluz Restaurant raised funds for the South Broward Foundation by donating a portion of sales from the opening VIP Night at its new Pembroke Pines location. The contribution totaled $7,500 and will support education and leadership initiatives in the Pembroke Pines and Miramar communities.
A local nonprofit affiliated with its Chamber of Commerce, the South Broward Foundation aligns closely with Kaluz’s commitment to giving back to the community it serves. The foundation supports education through scholarship programs, leadership development initiatives, and improvements to local schools through renovations and ongoing facility maintenance. “From the start, we wanted our opening in Pembroke Pines to support the community that welcomed us,” said David Baldwin, owner of Kaluz Restaurant. “The South Broward Foundation is doing important work locally, particularly for students and schools, and this was a way for us to support those important efforts.” On Saturday, November 22, Calvin Giordano & Associates employees volunteered alongside more than 100 community volunteers to support the Prestige Club’s Annual Children’s Picnic at Bamford Park, which brought together more than 1,600 children and families facing hardship across Broward County.
CGA has supported The Prestige Club for nearly three decades, contributing more than $100,000 to-date and providing long-term volunteer leadership, including Executive Assistant Dawn Hopkins, who has volunteered with the organization for 17 years and helps coordinate volunteer logistics each year. SAFEbuilt CEO Chris Giordano was also onsite volunteering; his father, Dennis Giordano, was one of Prestige Club’s founding members. The event featured games, activities, character entertainment, and educational stations, as well as the signature Santa’s Mailbox, where children write letters requesting holiday wishes. Each letter is reviewed by volunteers, and the requested gift is delivered to each child’s home in December. Subaru of Pembroke Pines Presents $100,970 in Donations to Two Hometown Charities
