    FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF CHAMBER PROFESSIONALS
    RECOGNIZES MIRAMAR/PEMBROKE PINES’ ROBERT GOLTZ
AS THE ASSOCIATION’S EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR

SANIBEL ISLAND, FL (September 19, 2018) – The Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) recognized Florida’s top chambers of commerce throughout the state for their outstanding achievement and dedication to the industry. The awards were presented at the organization’s Annual Conference, held September 18-20, 2018, at the beautiful Sundial Beach Resort & Spa in Sanibel Island.

The prestigious Executive of the Year Award acknowledges a chamber executive who has made outstanding contributions in the world and work of chamber management.  The individual must meet several criteria including: strong internal administration and organization; the ability to maintain an increase membership; development of a strategic plan; and an ability to recruit, motivate and reward the volunteers.

This year, FACP honored Robert Goltz, IOM, FCCP, President of the Miramar/Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce. During the presentation, it was noted that Goltz’s chamber had more than doubled the number chamber members since he accepted the CEO position; led successful campaigns to challenge a penny surtax and pass a ride-sharing initiative and water infrastructure improvements; and cultivated relationships with the city governments within the areas that the chamber serves and has demonstrated the value of chamber membership, resulting in one of the cities offering a financial incentive to businesses to cover more than half of their first-year dues within the chamber. Goltz also demonstrates his commitment to the chamber industry often serving as a speaker/trainer and mentor to newcomers in the industry

As stated by FACP Immediate Past Chair Debbie Cotton, President & CEO of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, as she presented the award, there was no doubt that Goltz is a winner in every aspect of the word.

FACP is a statewide organization whose mission is “Advancing excellence in chamber management” and whose vision is “Enhancing Florida's business communities by cultivating successful chamber professionals.”
