Chamber University: Stop Phishing & Social Media AttacksName: Chamber University: Stop Phishing & Social Media AttacksDate: January 25, 2019Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM ESTWebsite: Spider NetworksRegistration: Register NowEvent Description:
Employees are the new front line in cyber warfare; employers need to educate and train themselves and their workforce on how to identify and stop Phishing, social media attacks, spoofing and other cyber threats.
It only takes one user opening an attachment to allow an attacker to gain access to corporate information. Once that information is swiped it is gone and cannot be recovered from the bad guys. They can now do whatever they want to with your content including e-mailing your customers pretending to be you or using your systems to attack others.
Being complacent because of dependency upon technology can leave a business vulnerable to attack.
Although current technology has come a long way and is doing a great job of blocking cyber criminals, they are constantly finding new ways to attack systems.
Accessing systems through the users, your employees, is one of the latest methods of attack; it is extremely lucrative and has a high rate of success, but can be eliminated through education and training.
It is never too early to teach your employees on what they should be looking for and what to avoid in their cyber content. The following seminar is what Spider Networks uses to educate our customer base and is now being offered through the Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce for the benefit of the members.
Internal attacks are projected to increase through 2019 as technology improves so don’t get caught off guard! Please take this opportunity to educate yourself and those that work within your team on how to detect, avoid and eliminate these threats that could endanger your business and put your customers’ information at risk.
Presenter: Tony Browne, President of SpiderNetworks is a CISSP security engineer dealing with compliance, security and regulation for the banking industry for over 20 years.
