Employers must comply with both IRS and DOL regulations when they offer benefits to their employees. I will describe what is required, and the penalties for not doing so correctly. Employers cannot assume that "the broker is taking care of this" or that the CPA is doing these filings.
Employers will know to check their plan documents - have they been done and are they up to date. Employers will know what DOL filings and what IRS filings they are required to do, the deadlines, and the penalties.
