Chamber for Good
Non-Profit Committee Trainings
In order to sustain and grow the local non-profit community, the Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce has created a Chamber for Good Non-Profit Committee.
The distinction between a traditional non-profit committee and the Chamber for Good Committee is that the former operates to promote their unique and various interests, whereas the Chamber for Good Committee operates to promote a single rallying cause from which they all benefit. Additionally, the more their individual causes are benefited by increased Chamber for Good visibility, the greater the goodwill received by participating in the Chamber for Good Program. It's a win-win!
In 2018, Chamber for Good is offering non-profit trainings in partnership with the Sanford Institute for Philanthropy at the National Leadership Institute. Every 4th Wednesday of the month, non-profit organizations are welcome to attend the different topic trainings offered through the National Leadership Institute instructors and speakers. For monthly topics, visit our Events Calendar.
Chamber for Good also hosts the Tastings at the Shops at Pembroke Gardens, a food sampling event with proceeds benefiting local non-profits. The Tastings occurs three times a year. Throughout the year, Chamber for Good also raises funds for its Care Bare Program, to supply local first responders with teddy bears to gift to children in distress during traumatic calls.
The Chamber for Good Care Bear Project raises funds to purchase new teddy bears for Miramar and Pembroke Pines fire and police departments to give out to children during distress calls or domestic violence situations. If you would like to donate to the Care Bear Project, you can make a secure donation below.
