Month of Giving Giveaway

Support your local non-profits with a $10 donation, and be entered for a chance to win up to $500 in gift cards to local restaurants and businesses. Participating organizations are dedicated to keeping funds in our communities, and using them exclusively for the projects described below. Pick your favorite charity or support them all!

Participating Non-Profits:

  • Chamber for Good
    The Chamber for Good program aims to help local non-profits by connecting donors, volunteers and programs. The Miramar-Pembroke Pines Chamber for Good also raises funds for their Care Bear project which provides teddy bears for Miramar and Pembroke Pines police and fire departments to give to children in distress when answering sensitive or traumatic calls.   • MPPRCC Scholarship Fund
    The Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund is the 501(c)3 fundraising arm of the Chamber which raises over $20,000 every year in college scholarships for local high school seniors. This year, the Scholarship Fund is announcing the Lou Manfra Memorial Scholarship, named after longtime dedicated Scholarship Committee member Lou Manfra. Donations will be matched by generous anonymous donors (up to the first $1,000). 

     
  • Kiwanis Miramar/Pembroke Pines
    Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child, and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Miramar/Pembroke Pines has been serving our neighbors for 26 years and sponsors Key Club student leadership programs in five local high schools. Donations this month will be directed to their annual Adopt-a-Turkey Thanksgiving food drive, which provides a week's worth of food to 100 Miramar families and low-income seniors that suffer from food insufficiency.   • Hospice of Broward County Foundation
    The HBC Foundation raises funds to improve the quality of life of their patients
    and families, and support unfunded and underfunded patient care, outreach programs and services for those facing advanced illness or grief. Funds raised will be used for Camp Good Grief, a 3-day overnight camp for grieving children that promotes healing through counseling, sharing, support, celebration, and fun.   • His House Children's Home
    His House is a faith-based organization that cares for children in the state system in a home-like setting. Any funds raised will go exclusively toward covering the expense of residential services of the foster children that are placed in the care of His House. Visit His House at www.hhch.org.
